Thank You

Thanks to you who've been reading the posts here. It feels so good to keep getting up and finding out there are beautiful people out there who give two beans! I'm grateful.

Today I'll be working on a chapter that discloses my experiences with sunshine candy and the elegantly responsive waves of my mind. Fun times. I'm also going to throw in a small excerpt here from the book that has nothing to do with that. Just a teaser.

"Five of us piled into a four-door, lit up cigarettes, kept our Coors out of sight, and headed to Raleigh. The Nuclear Assault show was happening in a small, dilapidated dive hidden away on a manicured street between government buildings. You had to know somebody who knew how to find it, because the door was unmarked and looked like the entrance to a storage basement. Grungy kids trailed the sidewalks, forming the thrashcore resistance. We took our place among them and instantly felt a swell of camaraderie. This first contact at old school metal shows was always a vital moment. It would establish the bonds that would save us from killing each other."

I got up late this morning, as the roommates and I were celebrating a day off late into the night. The coffee is strong, so I'll be in full speed mode in about an hour. Have a great Saturday!

  1. No truer words were ever written. And since we tend to attract what we put out there, if we only focus on the negatives we inevitably will see more of that. Time to see the flowers. Yes!
